A Biblical Bible Timeline Poster Gives A Graphic Mode To Aid And Help Teach Biblical Events And Characters And Facts

In our Bible class some years ago, a friend who had been a Christian and been involved in the local Church for years, said,"Yes, but Abraham had the Law and so he understood about......" (they weren't talking about the pre-mosaic law) I wonder how many Christians would actually pick up the error in this claim. Moses lived 500 years after Abraham and so it is impossible. I have since then compiled a Bible chronological chart and shown in a more graphic way the dating of people and occasions.

Years ago, I was teaching on the death, burial, life and resurrection of Christ Jesus, and a retired pastor and strong preacher of the Bible, who had been a pastor for forty years, marched up and reproved me smartly over some interesting points I made and he remarked 1Ti 1:4'Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.' I quietly asked him if I had been teaching anything of a heretical nature at all, to which he answered"No". I continued to spell out that in the case of that particular verse, it wasn't referring to examining the Bible but to the false teachings and philosophy of Gnosticism, but he would not have it. Let me ask, how can a forty year preacher & laborer in the Gospel, not know and understand about something that possibly half the books of the New Testament discuss?
How could he understand and preach the Bible in fullness without knowing about something that was so influential in the New Testament church? And then how can the congregation hope to comprehend these things and be able to understand their Bible properly, if they are not informed?
Let's us as tutors and preachers stitch together the aspects of God's Word and His plan into a seamless tapestry that our people can draw on for the remainder of their lives, to help them to comprehend God, His Eternal Plan, the function of the Church and ways to better translate the Bible to model our lives by.
It is not difficult to do, and it's not boring if we are prepared to put in a bit of effort prayer and fervor, and just maybe you can utilize a Bible Timeline also.
